Shop Talk The place where you can find the latest updates and happenings in the Thrift Shop.

What’s New

Christmas Clothes Christmas clothes are out! All clothing items that go on a Christmas rack will have a WHITE tag. If it has any other color tag, it can go on its normal rack. The Christmas racks are indicated with a label on the top of the circle rack.

Men’s Pants Men’s pants have new hangers! All men’s pants should be folded in half and put away on hangers with the black foam. Hopefully, we will have less broken pants hangers as a result. Women’s pants will still be hung using the clip pants hangers and should be hung from the waist.

The Fence Store

The Fence Store is now its own category with its own stickers! Yay! This will allow more accurate reporting on a monthly basis to see what the Fence Store is making. Cashiers, this means you can now swipe through the categories on the left-hand side and find “Fence Store” as its own category.

Have Something You Need Said in Shop Talk?

If you have something new happening in your department, or something you feel would be helpful for all Thrift Shop workers to know, you can now place those thoughts in the “Shop Talk Suggestion Box.”

The box is located in the kitchen. It’s on the shelf next to the desk with the printers. I’ll check this on a regular basis. Please put your first and last name and a clear description of what you’d like shared!

A Few Reminders

Volgistics You can now sign up to help in the front of store for 2-hour shifts! You can work from… 12-2 or 2-4 or 12-4 If you’ve never worked in the front and are interested in joining us, please reach out to me! (My number is 610-909-0140) Thursdays Tonight is our first Thursday staying open until 7pm. Woo hoo! Tell your friends and family! Come say hi and do some shopping yourself! (I hear this place has a lot of amazing Christmas stuff out right now…and it’s going fast!) Reminder! Donations will still close at 3 and the Fence Store will close at 4. Holiday Closures Thanksgiving Closures Wednesday, November 27th Thursday, November 28th Christmas Closures Tuesday, December 24th through Wednesday, January 1st. We will start out 2025 on Thursday, January 2nd
